Uga Chena Huts

Head out from Uga Chena Huts to a calm spot within the wilderness, chosen for its open views and sense of space. As the light begins to change, you’ll settle in with a drink and a selection of small bites.

The setting could be near a lagoon or an open clearing, where you may spot birds or animals moving at a distance. The pace is slow, giving you time to cherish the surroundings without distraction. It’s a relaxed way to spend the evening, with just the sounds of nature and the changing colours of the sky around you.

Step out from Uga Chena Huts and join a guided walk along the coastline of Yala National Park. Led by a ranger, the walk takes you across sandy stretches, dunes and rocky edges shaped by the sea. As you move along, you’ll look out for tracks and signs left behind by animals such as elephants, wild boars and smaller species.

The area is also known for sea turtles that come ashore to lay eggs. Walks are usually planned for early morning or late afternoon, when the light is softer and wildlife activity is easier to notice along the shore.
