Experience the Essence of Tranquillity at Pokhara

Located 1,000 feet above the Pokhara Valley, the Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge is a perfect haven for strong-hearted, nature lovers and soul seekers. Other than being your pre-and-post-trek stopover, you can also enjoy small hikes and day walks, explore local communities, bird-watching, gentle exercise, or simply relax in the company of the mighty Himalayas. Stationed on a ridge half an hour outside Pokhara, the lodge is at an ideal distance from the hustle and bustle of the city.

As the sun says hello to the valley with its first rays, the tallest of the peaks first absorb its warm greetings. While trekking enthusiasts journey to the heart of the Annapurna range, many paragliders enjoy flying with the chirping birds. It’s a sight to behold when both the paragliders and birds dance flawlessly to the rhythm of the breeze. As you walk on the ancient trails, you’ll come across the lesser-known villages and some breathtaking waterfalls.

At dusk, the air fills with the fragrance of fresh food cooked in the lodge. Guests gather around the bonfire under the vast sky full of twinkling stars. What an honour it is to celebrate Nepali culture and local cuisine! With the crackling of the fire, both the body and the spirit feel the warmth of this place.

This boutique property places its core belief in tourism with a conscience and is a pioneer of regenerative tourism in Nepal’s hills. Being certified by GSTC affiliate Travellife with Gold Standard Audits, this property leads by example to promote sustainable tourism practices. Visiting this lodge will charge the mindful and responsible traveller in you and encourage you to make a lasting impact in the destination community.

Living Aesthetically and Sustainably at the Tiger Mountain

Living Aesthetically and Sustainably at the Tiger Mountain

Nepal’s astonishing landscape is crowned by Mount Everest, the highest summit in the world. The Annapurna Mountains welcome you to Pokhara – a place blessed by nature. The Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge represents a blend of traditional Nepali architecture and modern luxury. This boutique property promotes sustainable living and as you enter the rustic lodge, you will feel welcomed by the staff here.

The architecture of the temples and stupas decorate the landscape with their intricate carvings. As you enter the lodge, you’ll realise that the beautiful front door is a gateway to one of the most beautiful sceneries you’ve ever seen in life – the peaks of Machhapuchhare.

Anyone would be easily convinced that the architecture of the lodge effortlessly integrates with the natural surroundings in Pokhara and is crafted with stone and wood. Built of hand-cut stone, all rooms in the lodge represent local carpentry and original artwork. The parquet floors and Tibetan rugs make it feel very welcoming and homely. Every window is a natural scenery that paints the valley, mountain ranges and fresh environment at Pokhara.

All these glorious views are a sight to behold. As you walk in the lush gardens, you can only imagine how high the majestic peaks around are. Though you’ll feel small standing in front of these peaks, this experience will be transformational for you.

You can enjoy the mesmerising views for as long as you wish as if the entire surroundings are exclusively made for you. At night, when everything gets dark around, a candle-lit terrace for dinner will make your heart feel delighted and warm. It is here that the stories from the valley echo with a diverse set of emotions – joy, courage, bravery, humour and love.

What they found

  • “We booked a room and got a household. By the second morning the kitchen knew how we took our coffee and had opinions about where we should walk.”

  • “The building would have been enough. What we did not expect was how much of the day the staff quietly built around what we said at breakfast.”

  • “Everything was arranged before we asked, and nothing felt arranged. That is a hard thing to get right and they get it right.”
