Meet the beekeeping team for a guided visit through the estate’s hives and honey production areas in the Alentejo countryside. Before entering the apiary, you’ll put on protective clothing and receive a short introduction to bee behaviour, hive structure and safety procedures. During the visit, beekeepers explain the seasonal honey cycle, pollination process and the daily work involved in maintaining healthy colonies.

You’ll observe hive inspections, honey collection methods and different stages of production depending on the time of year. Experience also includes a tasting of locally produced honey. The session moves at a decent pace with time for questions throughout the visit and demonstration.

Set out on a mountain biking route through the estate and surrounding landscapes near Monsaraz. You’ll ride across dirt tracks, countryside paths, vineyard sections and uneven terrain while exploring different parts of the Alentejo region. Routes vary in distance and difficulty, making them suitable for both relaxed rides and more active outings. Along the way, you’ll pass olive groves, open farmland, stone walls and quieter rural areas shaped by the region’s long agricultural history.

Bikes and basic equipment are provided before departure, with route guidance available depending on your experience level. Weather and trail conditions can change throughout the year.

Join a guided olive oil experience in the Alentejo countryside near Monsaraz. You’ll walk through the olive groves while learning about regional olive varieties, cultivation methods and the long history of olive production in the area. The visit continues inside the mill, where staff explain how olives are processed and turned into oil using different stages of extraction and storage.

You’ll also take part in a technical tasting session focused on flavour, aroma, texture and production quality. Depending on the season, you’ll see harvesting activity taking place during the visit.
