Bagh Villas is the creation of three close friends who have dedicated their lives to making a difference in rural landscapes and wildlife conservation. Jawaid Azad, Goverdhan Singh Rathore and Iskander Lalljee met during their college days and were all deeply influenced by the work and life of one of the greatest tiger conservationists of India, Fateh Singh Rathore (Goverdhan’s father). Today Bagh Villas is managed by Akhilesh Nair & his wife Lia. Both have years of experience in the hospitality industry, having run resorts in India, Seychelles, the Maldives etc.

Inspired by the Maharajas during their hunting expeditions and battle campaigns, the accommodations at Bagh Villas are a tasteful blend of the traditional Jodhpuri Shikar design with the expansive, contemporary touch of an African camp. We also have two lakeside cottages secluded in a quiet corner at the edge of our camp, overlooking a private lake. Our tents and cottages are spacious yet intimate, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom featuring a bamboo shower, double-vanity washbasins, and a private lakeside verandah deck.

Get to know this magical forest on an intimate level by experiencing Kanha National Park the Bagh Villas way on a meticulously curated game drive guided by one of our naturalists. Search for pugmarks and listen intently for langur and spotted deer alarm calls while we take you into the depths of Kanha’s wilderness as the search for the tiger intensifies.
