Head out from Acre Resort on horseback with one of the ranch's experienced guides leading the way. The ride begins with a short orientation so you understand how the horse moves and responds before setting out onto the trails. From there, the desert opens into dry riverbeds, sandy paths and stretches of scrub that shift with the terrain underfoot.

The pace adjusts as the landscape changes, slower through tighter sections, more open across flat ground. The route focuses as much on how you ride as where you go, suiting both first-time riders and those with more experience.

Board a small boat from the Baja California coast and head into open water along one of the Pacific's most active whale migration routes. During the season, humpback and grey whales are commonly sighted here. The boat slows or stops when whales are spotted, giving you time to observe surfacing, tail movements and changes in direction.

A guide identifies activity zones and maintains distance in line with local regulations. The trip covers key areas along the coastline before returning to shore. Sightings are most common between December and April, making it one of North America's most reliable whale-watching stretches.

Walk through the Art District in San José del Cabo, where streets lined with galleries, studios and restored buildings cover a compact and easily navigable area. You'll move between spaces displaying paintings, sculpture and locally made craft work, with short distances between each stop. The district is small enough to cover in a couple of hours.

Thursday evenings bring an open gallery walk when most spaces stay lit and doors remain open, making it the best time to visit. You can follow a loose route or adjust based on what catches your attention as you go.
